As someone who uses powders to boost their protein intake, the usual shakes can get boring pretty quickly.

Whether you're into fitness and nutrition, or you're vegan and find it hard to get enough protein from other food sources, protein powders are excellent. But, we sometimes need to use our imagination to mix things up and create new, exciting recipes.

In this article, Rosie Millen - or @missnutritionist - has shared 3 of her favourite protein smoothie recipes. Each of these uses a different protein powder, but they are all 100% plant-based and all recipes are vegan-friendly.

This first recipe uses the FARMASSIS+ Gym Date Protein in the flavour Madagascan Vanilla.

This powder uses a blend of pea protein, brown rice protein and hemp protein for 16g of protein per scoop, a complete amino acid profile, and a BCAA ratio of 2:1:1.

The Madagascan Vanilla flavour has a creamy and sweet taste, without being overpowering or sickly. It's perfect for those who want a subtle, sweet protein powder that can be enjoyed daily.

Ingredients:

  • 10 frozen strawberries
  • Two tbsp of coconut milk yoghurt
  • 2x scoops FARMASSIS+ Gym Date protein powder
